Dr István Szászi
Representative of the Bosch Group in Hungary and the Adriatic Region

Dr István Szászi is the Representative of the Bosch Group in Hungary and the Adriatic region, Head of the Middle and Eastern European Engineering Cluster, and Managing Director of Robert Bosch Kft. He has nearly 20 years of leadership experience. After graduating from the Budapest University of Technology and Economics, he began his academic career there as an assistant lecturer and later became an adjunct professor. In 2004, he transitioned into the business sector as a project engineer at the Bosch Group in Hungary. He continued his academic career in 2004 in the business sector as a project engineer for the Bosch Group in Hungary. He started his management career in Reutlingen, Germany, where he worked as a team leader and later became head of the development department for vehicle control systems at the Budapest Development Center. This was followed by another assignment in Germany, and in 2018 he took over the management of the automotive electronics development division at the Budapest site. Since 2019, he has been the head of the Budapest Development Center, and since July 1, 2021, he has been the leader of Bosch Group in Hungary and the Adria region.
He is responsible for over 23,000 employees in the region, including overseeing the work of several thousand development engineers in Hungary, Romania, and Bulgaria. He participates in mentoring programs for leaders, is a member of the Hungarian Academy of Engineers, and holds the title of honorary university professor at Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME). Since March 25, 2022, he has been a member of the board of the Rudolf Kálmán Óbuda University Foundation. His work was recognized with the Dénes Gábor Award in December 2023.
