Dr. Steffen Hoffmann  

President Northern and Eastern Europe at Bosch Group

Steffen Hoffmann has been President of Robert Bosch’s operations in Northern and Eastern Europe since 1 January 2023. He is based in the UK.

With more than 30 years of experience at Bosch, Steffen has been involved in many different aspects of the Bosch business.

Steffen began his career in 1992 in Germany at Robert Bosch GmbH as a management trainee and went on to hold several executive commercial and general management roles in different countries, including Germany, Japan, South Africa, the UK and the Russian Federation.

Before taking over his current position, Steffen was President and CEO of Robert Bosch LLC in Moscow during 2021 and 2022 as well as President and CEO of Robert Bosch UK for six years between 2015 and 2020. Prior to this, he was the Managing Director of Robert Bosch, Southern Africa, as well as the Head of the Automotive (Original Equipment) Business in those countries, holding the positions from late 2009 until December 2014.

Steffen studied Business Administration and Management from 1985 to 1992 in Germany, Switzerland and Japan. He holds a Master’s Degree as well as a Ph.D., both from the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland.

Steffen is married with a 24-year-old daughter. He is passionate about classic cars and a keen golfer.
